The Harper Creek Optimists Club voted to approve the 2009 Cereal Festival Committee's request that they handle the running of the 2009 Cereal Festival parade.

The Optimists have been handling the annual Battle Creek holiday parade that kicks off the International Festival of Lights for years, and they are going to extend their first-class logistics handling to the Cereal Festival parade this year!
